Kampala, Uganda – After a setback at the SMC Masaka Challenge Rally, Uganda’s rally driving star Jas Mangat and his co-driver Enoch Olinga have set their sights on a comeback at the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2024. Despite their disappointment in the recent rally, the dynamic duo has swiftly shifted focus to the upcoming competition, determined to make their mark in the African Rally Championship (ARC) and the Uganda National Rally Championship (NRC).
Mangat and Olinga will be driving their trusty Hyundai i20 as they aim to reclaim their position among Uganda’s top rally teams. Currently sitting in 5th place in the UNRC standings with 60 points, the crew has a lot to fight for as they compete against other formidable teams in the event. The rally, scheduled to take place from May 10th to May 13th, will cover various challenging stages in the Lugazi and Jinja regions, providing a thrilling test for the participants.
The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally is known for attracting international competitors, and this year is no exception. The event has already confirmed the entry of Kenya’s Karan Patel and Tauseef Khan, adding an extra level of competition to the mix. With several more crews expected to join, the rally promises to be a highly contested event.
