Hailing from the scenic hills of Rwanda, Adolphe Nishiyimana is the kind of driver who doesn’t just race he refuses to quit. When he showed up for the opening round of Uganda’s NRC, his Subaru Impreza N10 had other plans (mostly involving overheating and taking unscheduled naps). But did Adolphe throw in the towel? Absolutely not.
While most people would have packed up and headed home for a cold drink, Adolphe fixed the engine overnight like a rally wizard, rolled back into service on Day 2, and casually finished the rally. That’s not just commitment it’s borderline romantic.
Now back for the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2025, Adolphe and his co-driver Regis Remera are ready to go full throttle. The car’s been refurbished, the tools have been triple-checked, and the snacks in the glove compartment are well-stocked just in case.
