Topher Katera is one of those drivers who can push hard, drive fast, and occasionally have a serious conversation with his beloved but aging Subaru GC8. Known for his aggressive style and never-say-die attitude, Topher’s motto seems to be: “If it’s moving, we’re winning. If it’s smoking… well, we’re still trying!”
Mbarara is his backyard, his proving ground, and probably where he knows every corner by name. He’s recently graduated to the CRC class a division as competitive as a boda-boda stage on Friday evening but he’s ready to take on the heat.

This year, he teams up with Noordin Bilal, as the co-driver. The duo missed round 2 in Masaka, so they’re now on a mission to grab every CRC point available like a rally fan grabbing a free t-shirt at a sponsor tent.
With determination, and a car that only misbehaves on some days, Topher and Noordin are here to finish strong, collect points, and hopefully avoid any unexpected pit stops caused by “GC8 mood swings.”
