THE SHELL V-POWER PEARL OF AFRICA UGANDA RALLY 2025

Driver Profile

CO-DRIVER PROFILE

Name: Monica Birwinyo
Co-driver to: Edward Kirumira
Car: Toyota Corona
Team: Stabex Rally Team

Profile:

“This movie is rated 16 and above parental guidance is advised… just like a rally car, things can get out of control if you’re not careful!” Straight from the bright lights of TV to the blinding dust of rally tracks  Monica Birwinyo is the actress who looked at normal scripts and said, “Too predictable, let’s add speed bumps!” Instead of reciting lines, she now reads pace notes at 140kph  calm, cool, and somehow still ready for a selfie at the service park!

Armed with bravery levels that deserve their own Oscar nomination, Monica swapped glamorous gowns for rally gear, and let’s be honest  no red carpet is as thrilling as a rally jump when you’re mid-air screaming (internally):

“Cut! Somebody call wardrobe, my helmet’s crooked!”

Teamed up with Edward Kirumira, this real-life action duo created an instant blockbuster by winning the opening round of the 2WD category  no stunt doubles needed! Their chemistry was so good, if rally had a “Best On-Screen Duo” award, Edward and Monica would already have speeches written like:

“First of all, we’d like to thank our brakes… without you, this would have been a horror movie!”

Now, for the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2025, Monica’s mission is simple:
Survive the madness, hit all her cues (corners), and finish the final scene holding a 2WD trophy  and maybe throwing in some dramatic slow-motion jumps for style points.

Expect classic Monica one-liners on the stages like:

“Edward, LEFT 5 tightens! No improv, stick to the script!”
“This dust is giving me free makeup  thanks, Uganda!”
“If we flip, we better land it nicely… I need good footage for my next movie trailer!”

Forget directors shouting “Action!”  when Monica is in the co-driver seat, it’s always action, drama, suspense, comedy… and hopefully no emergency exits!

Get ready, Uganda — this is not a rehearsal.
This is the real show.
Rated: F for Full Throttle, Fearless, and Funny!
