If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you mix Rasta vibes, co-driving skills, and a complete disregard for panic, meet Duncan Katumba, a.k.a. Dunco “Corner lya Busungu”—the only man who will call out pace notes with a smile while humming Bob Marley between corners.

Duncan may be new on the CRC block, but don’t let the chilled-out hair fool you—this guy has nerves of steel, lungs of a town crier, and reflexes like a cat that just drank espresso. Riding shotgun with Walter Kibande in their old-but-gold Subaru GC8, Dunco has become famous for yelling things like “200, flat left into tight right”—he’ll chant it like a reggae verse:

“Easy right, my bredren, into fast left—give it di pedal but respect di gravel!”

Don’t be shocked if you hear him again mid-stage yelling:

“Walter mi boss, mash it up ,but easy on the brakes, dem tyres smoke like di chalice!”

Their team motto? “Speed yes, but vibes first.”
Their team radio? Usually full of rally calls… and the occasional reggae beat.

Despite the jokes and roadside dance breaks, Duncan and Walter have been a revelation in the CRC class, currently leading the championship with a combination of fearless driving and hilarious banter. Ask him how they stay focused and he’ll probably say, “Easy—Walter drives, I shout, and the GC8 just obeys. Sometimes.”

Their plan for the Pearl?

“Get through it clean, no spin, no sin and collect dem CRC points like blessings from Jah!”

And if you hear someone yelling “This corner is possessed!” from a distance… don’t worry—it’s just Dunco doing Dunco things.
