In the rally world, he’s better known as “Just Bayaye” a name that perfectly captures his wild style and unmatched crowd appeal. Faizal Kayira is not your typical rally driver chasing podiums. He’s the people’s champ, the guy who lights up every corner with a drift, a smile, and just the right amount of madness to keep fans screaming.
Behind the wheel of his ever-temperamental Subaru GC8, Faizal brings the entertainment wherever he goes. And while the car has a mind of its own (and sometimes a refusal to start), when it behaves, Bayaye magic happens.
This year, he’s paired up with co-driver Hakim Kamoga for the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2025. Together, they’re not here to chase stage times they’re here to give fans a show to remember and, hopefully, finish the rally if the GC8 stays in a good mood.
