If speed had a favorite mechanic, it would probably be Mansoor Lubega. Hailing from Lungujja, this spanner-swinging rally rocket has turned a humble Toyota Corolla into a 2WD predator that refuses to be left in the dust.
After a brief sabbatical ( garage hibernation ), Mansoor made his adrenaline-charged return to the national rally scene late last year. With a Corolla that seems powered by pure willpower and roadside miracles, he’s been giving the younger 2wd lads a run for their money and their lug nuts.
He’s once again teamed up with Nabira Doreen, his co-driver whose calm voice keeps Mansoor from turning every corner into a Tokyo Drift audition. Together, they form the Horse Rally Team, but don’t be fooled there’s nothing slow-trotting about them.
With his eyes locked on those crucial 2WD points in the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2025, Mansoor is out to prove that he’s still got the groove and maybe a few spare fan belts in the trunk, just in case.
